Well, well. Amerie is not the best vocalist, but she is consistent with her image and has nice songs.
Cymphonique (spelling)… this video looks like a video made meant to shop her to investors. She’s a cute girl and the song is not too grown. The lyrics send a good message to the too grown mass of kids out there if you listen to them. Plus, don’t forget the first Destiny’s Child album- that was the epitomy of too grown! (Do you ever wonder when he/ don’t come home who he goes to see/ And why in the middle of the night he leaves you alone/ cause he’s with me… Remember that song?)
Beyonce’s song sounds like a remix to the Destiny’s Child song Killing Time from the Men in Black soundtrack. Definitely sounds dated.

Love the Cymphonique video although it is old and she is 13. I will say that she isn’t grown this is costume and far from what she wears on a regular basis. If you see her in the streets she has on a tee, and some jeans or sweats. Unless she is going some important. And you can’t say Master P is only promoting his light skinned kids cause that is a lie. His son Vercy (who is dark skinned and far from light) is being promoted very well with Lil Romeo and the College Boyys (a new group with Romeo, Vercy, Will Smith’s newphew and 2 other boys) they aren’t being too promoted yet though because Romeo and USC is mixing right as of now but in 2010 you will see him. Master P daughters are light skinned with long pretty hair, Itylyanna, and Tytyanna his son Mercy is light skinned too. Itali and Hercy are dark skinned. But they are in music videos with Romeo and Master P and are his new TV station BBTV. His other kids just don’t want to be known publicly, they are ALL smart and beautiful. I haven’t purchased an album years!!!! However, I have already pre-ordered Sade’s upcoming album. There are very few if any no gimmick, real singers out there. Now a days these record companies are selling looks and fake images of these girls, and i ain’t buyin, LITERALLY. The record companies are not looking for longevity. I think the record companies are trying to appeal to a demographic who they feel are ignorant and will buy anything. A demographic who doesn’t know what quality music is.

I don’t think it’s Amerie’s voice as it is the songs could be a little better. Her songs,when she first came out, fit her voice. Well “Why don’t fall in love” did and “One Thing” did. She has a nice voice but they need sit down and put together a better package of music for her. I definitely respect the Georgetown education Amerie and feel that those are the things that she could do better. She’ll be alright though.

Amerie really needs more shine or a better management team.. Love her and her music and she always keeps it classy. She can sing and her harmonies are ridiculous. She has some good hits, they just never get airplay.. I honestly don’t think she’s promoted well enough. Hopefully in 2010 she will get more recognition.

My fav of the three? Master P’s little girl. Amerie is limited by a poor singing voice, and Beyonce’s song was just OK to me. Cymphonique, on the other hand, had that fun adolescent energy, the lyrics were reflective of the way pre-teens interact with one another, and there was a hint of a decent singing voice in her rap/sing-song delivery. And as weak as the game is right, she might be able to make a move.
