As reports hit yesterday that Mary J Blige gave a seasonal slap to her husband Kendu at her album release party Tuesday night, video has surfaced showing the tiff. MJB told the Daily News that she was just trying to diffuse a fight between her brother and Kendu. Hmmmm.
You can also catch Beyonce trying to hide from the cameras with her drink in her hand and Jay-Z partying it up as well. Once Mary delivered the slap (around the 1:00 mark), her people came over to try to diffuse the situation.

Wow! I hate to say it but Mary should have taken that to a private area to discuss with her Husband. I know I’m gonna catch a lot of grief for this statement, but that is what happens when your hitting the clubs getting drunk. The club scene is for singles looking to mingle, and when your successful your going to find chicks trying to shake it for your man and get his attention, because they want your life.
I know promoting albums is apart of their business, but it’s obvious they have a problems and hitting the clubs is not going to smooth things over. Try setting a “grown and sexy adult” atmosphere to promote your album the next time and leave the clubbing for the singles trying to find what you already have. Here’s the thing. When people get angry/emotional/riled up – they want to lash out. That’s PEOPLE..regardless of their gender. So if two people are in an argument where emotions are heated its only natural for their adrenaline to be all high and for them to want to hit the other person. Well I am concerned about this; hopefully this was a one time incident. However, I doubt that; after working so hard to bring positivity into her life its sad to see this occuring. Here’s my concern 1 if she slapped him then, and if he was flirting or was not flirting this has occured before. Which means that a woman would not just walk up to a man or her man and slap him just because she thought he was doing something. This says to me this has been going on for quiet some time. 2 If this has been going on for some time now I am praying that they can move pass this incident and go forward. Sometimes when things are already bad the media can amp it up and coupled with the embrassment this situation could be the begining of the end. However, Mary is a very smart woman and I new there was a reason why she had yet to have his babies. Despite the fact that he has his own a smart woman waits and is wise about who she lets plant seed in her. 3 If she was trying to break up a fight between her brother and Kendu this means that Kendu must step out of line frequently. IMO, Kendu did not ruin Mary’s party. She ruined her own party by acting like a hoodrat. A real woman would have wait until she got home to let her husband have a piece of her mind.
