Kim and Reggie leaving Prime 112
It looks like that suspicious tweet from one of Kim Kardashian’s friends Friday night claiming that she and Reggie Bush got engaged at Miami restaurant Prime 112 this past Friday night was indeed TRUE!
Our source, who was in Miami for the Super Bowl festivities, tells YBF that the owner of the restaurant himself, Myles Chefetz, confirmed it last night.
Owner Myles (who also owns Nemo, Prime Italiano, and 2 other Miami restaurants) made his “check on the patrons” rounds to all the tables last night as many owners do. When he stopped at his friend Ludacris‘ table where our source was sitting, Myles told the table that Reggie and Kim had just gotten engaged on Friday!

Mr. Chefetz even dished the details to Luda’s table: Reggie popped the question in a private corner of the restaurant with both his and Kim’s family there.
In the pics of the couple leaving the restaurant Friday, it was obvious that Kim was hiding her left hand. And Reggie was even caught checking her hand, possibly to see if it was covered. Kim “publicity hog” Kardashian keeping this a secret is a miracle. But she’s likely holding off on officially announcing the news because it’s her Super Bowl champ man’s time to shine. Or she’s just holding off for the highest bidder to pay her for the full story.
Either way, looks like Kim’s much expressed wish has come true. Maybe Kim’s second time getting married will be the charm. Congrats to the couple.

My issue is not one of race but that of morality( for lack of a better). But, we teach our young ppl to respect themselves but thrusted in front of them r women like her in whom obviously don’t. I mean, why is she famous again? Oh yeah, a sex tape. We teach young girls to love themselves and educate themselves for these r the qualities good men admire. But women like her opposes this theory. And likewise, we teach our young men to pursue the girls like I mentioned but trophy wives r what they seem to chase. And all to often they r only after one thing….$$$. I just think society is becoming too plastic. But with that said, everyone is free to make their own decisions to obtain whatever happiness means to them. So, I wish them much success!

I don’t know why so many black women dislike Kim Kardashian. I love her. She is the epitome of fabulousness and she’s a great businesswoman.
She took negative press from a sex tape with an ex-boyfriend and used it to build a brand. She has endorsements, a perfume, a show, a clothing chain, fitness tapes…the list goes on! Instead of being so negative and calling her a hoe, like you’ve never ever captured intimate moments with your significant other, you should be pround that a woman can pick herself up and dust herself off like Kim did. Ladies, we need to start supporting each other instead of ripping each other to shreds.

You know, I am a happily married woman of 22 years, and a lot older then probably most of you on this site. But there is just something about successful black men marrying non-black women that bothers me to no end. It’s not hating to want a sister to have some of the luxuries that is given to these woman. Let’s name a few of our brothers shall we:
Michael Jordan, Ice T, Lamar Odom, Wesley Snipes, Bryan Gumble, Reggie Bush, O J Simpson, Hank Baskett, Rick Fox. Just to name a few. The list goes on and on. If a beautiful black woman would have made a sex tape as graphic as the one that Kim made, the brothers would be looking at her and calling her a skank! Kendra used to sleep with Hugh Hefner for goodness sake and she got a successful brother. Sista’s call it hating if you want to, but you better wake up or there will be no brothers for you to marry. People can date or marry whoever they want. I didn’t know Reggie is only 24yrs old, he’s really young. What I do not understand is how an educated opinion regarding an alarming statistic label you as “bitter”???
For the record, I do not have a problem with interracial relationships, but I what needs attention is the fact that society and the media has deceived many black athletes into accepting the stereotypical trophy wife.
Who can argue with the FACT that if Kim K were a black woman with a sex tape, that she would be labeled “damaged goods”. I do actually follow the Kardashian reality show, but what you guys are ignoring is the fact that there is indeed a TREND regarding the lack of black women being in the spotlight in a positive, classy, educated manner. who cares? the term “sell out” is so 1990’s. I never expect to see Black celebrities with Black mates. who cares? Black women need to be more open minded and willing to date outside our race. Someone previously mentioned shows like “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “For the Love of Ray J”.
I hate these types of shows and I try to shy away from them. A lot of you say that black women on shows like the above-mentioned are portrayed to be ghetto. In my opinion, ghetto is ghetto. There is no way for a producer to make these girls look ghetto. They accomplish that all on their own. They put themselves in these situations and are fast and loose with these unworthy men for what? 15 minutes of fame.
I think a lot of young black women just don’t have the proper values. I’ve always been taught to respect myself, that education comes first and never let anyone take advantage of me, especially not a man. The “date inside your own race/black pride” notion was never instilled in me, which is probably why I find nothing wrong with these two being together. I’m African American and I’ve dated black, white, italian, etc. Each was was different and bought something different into the relationship. As a learner I feel theres nothing wrong with that.

It’s sometimes deep and complicated than we think. There’s a difference between dating or marrying for real love outside your ethnicity, and doing it because of self hatred. I think both black men and women struggle with that, some of them.
I have my own issues with black women, or black people in general, but to be honest, there’s no reason why black men should hate, their women, and there’s no reason why black women should hate their men. The black community is really messed up, most of them have distorted thinking, and a lot of contradiction going on, and that’s my problem.
There’s really nothing special about interracial dating or marriage, and biracial children, it’s so overrated, they are just like anybody, but unfortunately the media just feeds more into it. I’m aware of some black people who think that, dating or marrying outside their ethnicity and having biracial children is a better way to go, because they have better chances, advantages in life, and will be accepted more by the society or they just subconsciously idolize other ethnicity.
They subconsciously have these mindset, and they don’t even know that’s what they are doing. So many black athletes or some black celebrities, when they are in the spotlight, the first thing that crosses their mind is I want to be accepted by the society, or the media, feel important, and something like this is the first step. If Reggie was with a black woman, I doubt he will be getting this much attention, and ofcourse the kardashian popularity adds to it. Love is also colorblind.
The problems or issues going on in the black community starts from home. I’ve heard some black men say their reasons for not dating black women, and it goes back to their mother or aunts or their experience, and they don’t want to repeat it, and I’ve also heard some black women say the same thing about their experience with black men, and while some of them don’t even have any experience, they just have hatred for no reason.
The obamas should be an example to all. Michelle Obama doesn’t fit the ideal beauty, but the way she carries herself, her confidence(not cockiness), intelligence, just makes her so beautiful. What is also special is the way Barack respects her, because he has a good woman, and appreciates it. Barack doesn’t ride on the biracial stigma, he’s just himself, and I can see Malia and Sasha been raised to have confidence in who they are. It’s about not allowing the society to define you as a person.
