Foolish Friday begins.  Kandi Burruss had her TAGS boutique opening this week in Atlanta.  And of course, her Housewife friends Dwight, Kim, and Lisa came through to support.  But really Kim just wanted to come out to show off the phat new engagement ring she begged for from her boo Big Poppa:

Not sure who’s the bigger donkey–her or the still married Big Poppa.  She kept her hand stuffed strategically in her jeans pocket to show off the ring every chance she got.

But on another note, congrats to a fab looking Kandi.

Cleveland Browns baller Braylon Edwards has been charged with assault after brawling with a man outside of Visions nightclub in Cleveland late last night (right after his team lost against their rivals the Cincinnati Bengals).  And the guy he wailed on is Lebron James’ club promoter friend Edward Givens.  According to the the city of Cleveland’s website, here’s what went down:

Givens was talking to the suspect outside the club when the suspect started an argument. The suspect then punched Givens with a closed first on the left side of his face. Givens told officers he would seek treatment at Lutheran Hospital.

Givens is a promoter with Eighty81 LLC, an events management and marketing firm that hosts parties on Sundays at View.

In an interview with Cleveland.com’s Starting Blocks blog this morning, Givens said:

“After the club closed, I was outside greeting and saying goodbye to people. Braylon comes up and started saying things, degrading me. He said if it wasn’t for LeBron or the Four Horsemen, I wouldn’t have what I have, nor would I be able to get girls. Everyone knows Braylon has a problem with LeBron. So I had to speak up for myself. The conversation started to escalate. As some of his teammates started to pull him back, he punched me. I have a black eye and a cut. I’m not a violent guy.

“As long as I’ve known Braylon, I’ve allowed him and his friends to come into our events free of charge. Whatever jealousy he has with LeBron, he felt he needed to take it out on me.”

So Braylon is jelly of ‘Bron so he picked a fight? Edward Givens had to be taken to the hospital with a black eye and a cut and a headache. This is b*tchassness at its finest.

In other dumb baller news, Lamar Odom is said to have proposed to his former girlfriend Taraji P. Henson only weeks before he popped the question to his now “wife”  Khloe Kardashian.  On a Fox Sports radio show this morning, the popular radio hosts Petros and Money (who have personally known Lamar for years) dropped this little nugget of info:

“You want to know how in love Lamar is? Word is Lamar was madly in love with another young lady no less than one week before he met Khloe and asked that young lady to marry him and she said, ‘whoa, slow down.’

“This was another celebrity that sees herself grace the pages of TMZ. So you wonder … maybe Lamar had alternate plans and alternate intentions of making himself more of a celebrity than just a dude that plays basketball for the Lakers. …

” … One week after he asked another young lady to marry him, he meets Khloe and three weeks later, he asks her to marry him.

” … We’re going to get this story, we’re going to further this story. We’ve planted the seeds on this story and I would say that some time by this time next week, we are going to watch it grow. Watch it bloom.

I know Taraji’s glad she got out when she did.

Our source tells us rapper Rick Ross just got engaged.  And no…it’s not to Foxy Brown.   Apparently he just recently popped the question to his girlfriend Shateria Moragne-el. He brought her to the BET Awards (above) and she was also his choreographer and “dancer” for his video “All I Want” that was set in Columbia.  The two are always coupled up at his album release parties and events.

Chick is friends with several baby mamas and fiances in the industry, so this isn’t hard for me to believe. She spends most of her time there in Miami with him even though she’s from Baltimore. I wonder what Foxy has to say….

Remember Kanye’s ex-girlfriend Brooke? And remember her “Harlem Heights” co-star Christian? Well months after reports of them being officially coupled up hit the gossip mill, the two are now engaged. Don’t know the details of how the proposal went down….but I do know it went down at about 5am this morning. Brooke even Twitpic’d the engagement ring photo and news. Chick is determined to get another reality show deal at all costs. Congrats though.

An author claims that Oprah jacked him for his book to publish her own. And now he wants $1 trillion . No, really. WENN reports:

Lloyd Goffe is suing Winfrey and her production company, Harpo, for allegedly stealing material from his work, ‘A Tome of Poetry’ and publishing it under her name with the title ‘Pieces of My Soul’.

The New York based author has claimed that since Oprah sold over 650 million editions of the work online for $20 a copy, he is entitled to 1.2 trillion dollars.

We’ve got the sneak peeks at tonight’s new episode of “Real Housewives of ATL”. Kandi gets emotional when her mom expresses her extreme disapproval of Kandi’s fiancé. And later the drama continues when NeNe, Sheree and Kim meet for drinks and decide it’s time for an ‘intervention’. You know what that means…FIGHT!

Christina Milian and her fiance The Dream revealed their wedding plans to the press at the birthday party they went to this weekend. Christina said:

“We don’t have plans yet—but it hasn’t [already] happened, that I can confirm. We just want to have our closest friends and family there; it’s not going to be too big.”

The Dream was asked about making babies with the soon to be Mrs. Nash. His response:

“I love kids, and [Christina] loves kids probably more than I do. I think when you’re a female in this business, it’s kinda hard to do the natural thing that you want to do. You have to do your work—then whenever she makes that time for herself—she’ll make that time [to have a baby]. In the next couple of years, there’ll be something around.”

Dream already has 3 kids with ex-wife Nivea. Looks like he and Chris are already working on #4 for him.

TheYBF.com spoke with the newest “ATL Housewife” Kandi Burruss about the upcoming season.  And you already know we had to ask about her alleged deadbeat daddy fiance Ashley Jewell.  We broke the exclusive right here back in March that her fiance had 6 kids and was well known around the ATL to not handle his daddy business.  So we asked Ms. Kandi about it and the rumor that her own mother is extra upset about the engagement.  And she kept it all the way real with us:

Yes it’s true. My fiancé does have 6 children. And that in itself is a big problem with my mother. I didn’t know going into the relationship exactly how many kids he had.  Or his situation with them.  So there was some deceit. She’s not happy at all.  They fought hard before taping the show and during the show.  Then after the show stopped taping she went in even harder. It’s a constant battle.

We also asked Kandi why people are calling her current fiancé a dead beat dad.  She tells us:

That I don’t know. Since we’ve been in a relationship, his kids come over A LOT. His twin daughters even live with us now.  But before we were together, I can’t say how he was as a dad since I don’t know. But as for now, he’s great with his kids.

I wonder if these two will actually make it to the alter.  But from the looks of it, moms aint having it.  Stay tuned for our full interview with Kandi and Lisa Wu-Hartwell posting today….

Looky looky.  Tiny was partying it up last night.  And then in the middle of the party, someone brought her some gift boxes.  Inside was a diamond engagement ring (her 3rd one) and a diamond tennis necklace all from her man T.I.P. Apparently this was all for her 34th birthday party:

I guess these diamonds will keep her warm till he comes home from the slammer in less than a year…
