D.C.’s own Wale is getting buzz everywhere we turn now. And now Roc Nation’s newest signee is on the cover of Honey Magazine’s November digital issue. And after Honey chatted with his rumored boo Solange just last month about their status, he’s dishing on how he feels about lil Knowles:
On Solange “I do love her,” he admits of Solange, flashing a Cheshire. “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does – I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”
His affection is as obvious as a set of flushed cheeks. And impossibly adorable. Wale, the former mixtape rapper from inner city DC, is borderline giddy. “Did you interview Solange about me?” Wale asks. He’s sprawled across his bed; head practically buried in the pillow. “Did she smile when you mentioned my name?”
Awww well isn’t that special. I already like these two together….

Trey Songz made chicks damn near pass out with his “Invented Sex” vid (the parental advisory version). He also caught some slack for it. And now he’s speaking on why he did it:
“I wanted it to be sexy, adult, everybody having fun in the video,” Songz speaking of Say Aah. “The song speaks on more so a club atmosphere, but the video is more lofty - sexy women all over the place, adults having fun. This one lady in particular, she’s representing the independent women without taking it over the top. She’s got her own. She takes me back to her crib so we invent sex together.”
“It’s very sensual,” said Trey. “The idea I had, it came from a banned Calvin Klein ad. It was a dude and two girls and they was touching and kissing. I was like, ‘Man, I wanna do that.’ We didn’t go all the way there. I didn’t have two girls, we simulated best we could, and it’s more sensual than raunchy.”
“It’s a groove record,” Songz added. “It’s got that knock at the same time. It’s sexy at the same time. Conceptually, it’s mind-blowing to tell a woman, you gonna think we invented sex when we’re done.’ That’s where I am.

I am NOT mad. At all. Here’s the rest of his new Black Men magazine Holiday 2009 spread:
Check out the first look at Ciara’s German Vogue photoshoot. She’s looking like high fashion hotness I must say. Hot.
And CiCi has more good news. She’s the newest face of Verizon’s $80 LG Chocolate phone. We hear it’s a multi-million dollar deal as she’ll be the face of a major multimedia ad campaign.
The Chocolate Touch is aimed at teens and young adults for whom music is a high priority and a lifestyle statement, said Tim O’Brien, senior director of marketing communications for LG Mobile Phones.
The handset features an FM radio, a high tech Dolby Mobile equalizer which promises enhanced sound and clarity, and a “Join the Band” function which lets users play along with songs on a virtual 88-key piano keyboard.
“This device is about connecting, and the best way is to connect is on a shared passion–something they love, which is music. It’s also a very stylish, fashion conscious device,” said O’Brien. The hope is that the Chocolate Touch’s music will resonate with fans of Ciara, who since breaking out five years ago has generated a spate of Billboard-charting singles.
