Ms. Fenty is covering Glamour magazine’s Women of The Year December issue.  FLOTUS Michelle O. did another cover as well.  Here’s some interesting snippets from Rih’s interview where she speaks for the first time about all of this past year’s drama.  About the amount of media attention surrounding her post-Chrihannagate, she said she “went to sleep as Rihanna, and woke up as Britney Spears“:

Glamour: Let’s talk about this past year—you’ve obviously been through some difficult things. How did the people around you help you cope?

Rihanna: My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.

Glamour: Are you referring to the [Chris Brown] incident?

Rihanna: I am talking about starting with the night [before] the Grammys and then on. That was not the only thing that occurred this year. The picture leaking…it was one thing after another.

Glamour: You’re talking about the photo [reportedly of Rihanna’s injured face taken by police after Brown assaulted her] that was allegedly leaked by cops. You handled that so well; you kept silent in the press.

Rihanna: It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.

In other news, Rihanna hit the streets of Manhattan last night with a lollipop and one of Amber Rose’s cropped sweatshirts.

But then she threw on some layers for the midnight cool.

First Lady Michelle Obama is looking holiday fabulous on the cover of Glamour’s Women Of The Year December issue.  It’s the first time in Glamour’s 70 year history that a First Lady has been the cover girl.  And Mrs. O is looking fantabulous.  Loves it.  Here’s a few snippets from her interview:

With men, don’t be swayed by “cute”: “Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, Who are you as a person? Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul…When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good…You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole.”

The real role models aren’t movie stars–they’re the people you know: “They were the people in my life. My mom, for sure. My dad. The teachers. For me, role-modeling was immediate, it was touchable…Children connect with who is in their lives, present and accounted for…That’s why we’re trying to encourage moms, teachers, fathers, to be that presence in their children’s lives, in their communities, because it really makes a difference.”

Mentoring matters, especially for young women: “I think that mentoring is such a critical part of the role I can play in this position. I see how little bits of exposure and big bits of exposure really change my girls significantly, and I want that for more girls around the country and the world.”

Don’t put yourself last in line: In answer to a reader question about how she keeps her sanity, the First Lady told Katie, “I have always tried to put my kids first, and then…put myself a really close second, as opposed to fifth or seventh. One thing that I’ve learned from male role models is that they don’t hesitate to invest in themselves.”

When it comes to looks and style, set your own standards: “People are always going to have opinions, and people have a right to their opinions, particularly when you’re the First Lady; you’re representing the nation. So I can’t be surprised that people are interested. But I’ve tried to be at peace with the choices that I make first, and then be open to everyone else’s reflection.”

Detroit Pistons baller Jason Maxiell (26) married his longtime fiance Brandi Duncan in Dallas back in August.  Brandi battled Ovarian cancer two years ago and won with Jason by her side.  He shaved his own head bald when she had to be bald herself because of the chemo.  Definitely a fab love story for the two.  And because we know you love beautiful weddings, we’ve got some of the pics:

They hired fab wedding planner Donnie Brown (”Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?) for their event.

And Jason’s NBA baller buddies Tayshaun Prince, Amir Johnson. Richard Hamilton. Antonio McDyess, Rasheed Wallace, Maurice Evans, Jarvis Hayes, and Theo Ratliff were all there. Lots more pics under the cut…

Fab.  According to Rap-Up, she’s working on her third album now and is very close to signing a new record deal with EMI Music.  It’s the home to David Guetta (who she has that “When Love Takes Over” song with), Letoya Luckett, and Snoop.

@ Last week’s Keep A Child Alive Ball, do we spy a bump?

Just when we were about to put Mrs. Paula Patton on Preggers Watch after we saw these pics of her the other night, the folks over at GIANT say she and her hubby Robin Thicke are indeed expecting a baby.

Paula’s covering the upcoming issue of GIANT mag and she told them she did stop taking her birth control as they were planning for a baby. Now their sources say the couple of 14 years has one in the oven. Congrats may be in order.

Venus Williams was spotted at PGA National Resort & Spa shooting the cover for upcoming book “Come to Win”. It hits shelves summer 2010. Yay for Venus.

It’s been confirmed that GQ is naming all 3 fellas–Drake, Wale, and Kid Cudi– “Man of the Year” this year.   All of them did a photoshoot in last month (above) for the magazine’s “Man of the Year” issue, but it was unclear which one of them received the title.

But we’ve confirmed with Wale’s rep that GQ decided to take a different approach this year.  Instead of doing 1 big A-lister as the GQ Man of the Year (Jay-Z and 50 Cent are two of the most recent recipients), they decided to give the title to 3 up and coming guys who are killing the scene.  Congrats to the fellas.  The issue hits stands in December.

On another note, Wale is doing “Jimmy Fallon” on November 10th–his album release date.  And Kid Cudi is now set to take Kanye’s place and touring with Lady Gaga soon.

So there is a 14-page French Vogue spread featuring model Lara Stone in blackface/black body coming out. It’s sending lots of folks into an uproar.

Some folks say this was a cheap gimmick with an empty purpose. Others say it’s an interpretation of high fashion. But what are your thoughts?

In other news, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” are clamoring around trying to get artist credentials. Why? So they can get a cut of the big bucks Bravo is about to ring in off their syndicated episodes of the show on their sister networks. The issue is: EVERY housewife signed a contract stating they would not be paid as an actor due to the “reality show” nature of the program. But y’all know that’s not stopping these Atlanta Housewives. Here’s what one of them allegedly said about it:

“This is some bull shit, we’ve been fighting their as* for the longest to keep the show from going to syndication without us making a dime … Damn, we not getting a dime and they making all the money… WOW … They can play the show forever and we will never get a check that aint right.”
