Foolywang Of The Week
Aubrey O'Day. You look a mess. Calling Lil Kim's plastic surgeon was not a good look. Neither is your trying to stay relevant. It does give us a few laughs and shivers though.

Whitney Houston did an interview recently did an interview to talk about her upcoming “Nothing But Love” tour. And in one part, she spoke about how she feels the new artists have changed the game:
“Music doesn’t change, people change the music; they become characters instead of really displaying their gifts,” she said. “If you look behind a lot of the people that are out there that are wearing these, you know, weird clothing–I’m not talking about anyone in particular, I’ve just seen for myself–there are some extremely gifted and talented young women and young men out there who don’t have to put on Halloween costumes, just be themselves. A little extravagance, a little flair, a little sexiness or a sultriness is cool, but some of them are very dark….”
Music’s past fashions vs. now:
“But that was the ‘80’s, I look at myself, I look at Madonna, I look at Prince, I look at Michael I look at all of us and I go, we had costumes. They weren’t scary, it was that we were performers, performing. Having artistry is one thing, but being dark and just you know, different weird stuff it’s not becoming. To me it’s not becoming at all.”
Interesting.

The YBF has got a featurette from the press interviews for the upcoming movie Our Family Wedding . It’s starring cutie Lance Gross & the fab America Ferrera and Regina King.
What’s the movie about?:
Lucia (America Ferrera) and Marcus (Lance Gross) learn the hard way that the path to saying “I do” can be rife with familial strife. When they return from college and too suddenly announce their marriage plans, they soon discover that their fathers – two highly competitive over-the-top egos – can wreak a major amount of havoc on their special day. With insults flying and tempers running high, it’s anyone’s guess if the alpha dads (Forest Whitaker and Carlos Mencia) will survive to make it down the aisle in one piece. Lucia’s mother (Diana Maria Riva) is busy planning the wedding of “her” dreams and the only levelheaded one in the bunch is Angela (Regina King), the groom’s father’s best friend and lawyer, who manages to keep her cool when the madness reaches a crescendo.
A wedding with race issues–I’ll so be seeing this. Let the drama and funnies begin. Our Family Wedding is in theaters everywhere Friday, March 12th.

Not really sure what’s going on here. But BSO posted this vid of Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson running naked through the woods. Sounds like the beginning of a really bad joke. But it really happened. Is he on that ish? Or is this for a commercial? Both? Let me stop…

Chris Brown went to see the judge at the L.A. Criminal Courts yesterday to get a progress report. The judge ruled–with a note from the judge in Richmond, VA–that he indeed has completed 32 days (out of the mandated 180) of hard labor so far. And he has also attended a good number of his required domestic violence classes. The L.A. judge commented:
“It looks like you’re doing really, really well,” Schnegg said. “That’s always good to see.”

Vanity Fair’s annual “Young Hollywood” issue is about to hit stands. And folks are already pissy about how un-diverse their view of “young Hollywood” is. No men, no people of color, no different sizes, no different looks, etc. Many are saying Vanity Fair is doing nothing but pushing the stereotype that Young Hollywood should only be female, white, and thin.
Odd since a few of the biggest stars this year are of color–like Zoe Saldana and Academy Award nominee Gabourey Sidibe–have been completely left out.
