Foolywang Of The Week
Aubrey O'Day. You look a mess. Calling Lil Kim's plastic surgeon was not a good look. Neither is your trying to stay relevant. It does give us a few laughs and shivers though.

Is Essence magazine near folding? That’s what word around the magazine world is right now. A press release went out today announcing the retirement of Beauty and Cover Director Mikki Taylor who’s been at Essence for 30 years. We also found out that a major assistant as well the entire fashion team was AWOL today. And after a huge amount of layoffs last November, 6 more people “left” just last week. One was major Beauty editor Pamela Edwards Christiani–who is now over at People mag.
And we’re not going to even go in about the stock photo (instead of an actual photoshoot) the mag decided to use of Reggie Bush for their February cover.
Print everywhere is suffering, but is one of the only journalistic print mags for young black fashion and beauty savy women about to be a goner? Hmmm.

This former 45 year old NBA baller named Winston Bennett is coming out with a shocking admittance that he had sex with 90 women a month since he was 15. That’s a rough estimate of thousands of different women. My stomach is turning as I type.
Winston apparently is trying to outdo Wilt Chamberlain who also claims he slept with about 20,000 during his hay-day. Bennett has actually been married to his wife Peggy for more than 20 years and has even given her a few STDs during their marriage thanks to his self proclaimed sex addiction/cheating. He also admits to having sex with another woman the DAY AFTER his wedding day! He claims women served as a drug to him. “One was never enough,” Bennett said. “Three or four in a day was very typical for me.”
How’s he trying to get “cured?” He did enter a sex rehab years ago for 6 weeks but continued to relapse. Now he’s having his friends/player he coaches/and his co-workers help “monitor” him and has been “clean” for 3 years. Um, sir. “Monitoring” aint gonna cut it. You may want to continue seeking professional help. Please peep the tape.

Rihanna is ready to pass on the knowledge of her mentor Jay-Z to the up and coming UK boy band JLS. The boys are already making chicks crazy and are garnering a huge following over seas. And Rihanna recently spoke to press about helping them get their big break here in the states:
“Working with JLS is something that will happen this year. Jay will make stars out of them. He has been a great mentor to me…They can sing, they can dance, they look good, actually they look very good.
America has only had a little taste of them so far, but give it probably as little as 18 months and they could be the most famous band in the world. There is nothing Jay doesn’t know about the music business.”
Rih says she won’t be the only person doing a collabo with them this year. Supposedly Kanye West and Beyonce may be on deck too.
Speaking of the Carters…a pic of them partying this weekend when you read the rest….

Well it’s about damn time Drizzy. Drake’s first single off his first studio album Thank Me Later is here. It’s called “Over” and it just dropped in full:
It’s almost a joke to say this is his debut single when he’s been on everybody and their dog’s songs for the past year. But this is indeed his first official non-mixtape non-featurette single. Check it.

Your favorite Rude Girl was spotted arriving at her Berlin hotel today. Rihanna is overseas still promo’ing Rated R. But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t already started working on her next LP. Producer Sean Garrett dished on Rihanna’s next album. He’s already finished a certified radio banger for her upbeat new LP: “I got a record on Rihanna’s new album,” Garrett tells Rapup.com. “She’s got some surprises. The record I gave her was very, very positive, very big. It’s a f—ing smash.”
The track, he says, is “a humongous radio record,” more in tune with her previous releases like “Umbrella” and even her latest single, “Rude Boy.” “It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive,” he explained. “It’s an encouraging record. It feels great, and it’s got great tempo. I made sure that it was bulletproof.
“It should be a single unless something crazy happens,” he continued. “It’s hot as f—. I think it’s a record that’s gonna stay on the radio for a long time.”
Garrett, like some fans and critics, was surprised about the dark material on Rated R. — and not in a good way. “Whenever I think of Rihanna, it makes me happy. To be honest, I wasn’t really that excited about hearing her in a dark zone,” he said. “I love Rihanna for being that girl. … She’s like the lil’ fantasy chick — nice brown skin, beautiful woman with a Caribbean swagger that’s ridiculous.”
Gotta admit…it’ll be interesting to hear. Still loving “Rude Boy.”

Here’s the remix to “My Chick Bad” by Luda. On the low, I’m lovin’ this track. And I like it better with Trina, Diamond, and Eve instead of the original. Sue me.
