Well I didn’t see this one coming. Nivea shot the video to her new buzz single “Love Hurts.” And she tapped none other than her youngest baby’s daddy to play her lover in the slightly steamy vid. How convenient.
Lil Wayne agreed to appear in the video on just two days’ notice, appearing on set for close to two hours of the nearly 12-hour shoot, less than a week before his scheduled sentencing. It was one of those million plus vids he shot all in one day a while back. Nivea, the mother of Wayne’s three-month-old son, offered Mr. Carter these words of encouragement recently:
“Wayne, I pray for your endurance during this difficult time. Know that your mind, heart, spirit and talent will prove to be stronger than the confinement of those walls.”
According to The Feed x The Remedy, LLC, the “Love Hurts” video features a never before heard remix of the song. Nivea’s album Purple Hearts is due out late Summer 2010.

Messing with Al Sharpton’s daughter is never a good look. On Tuesday, reports say that Dominique Sharpton, 23, was involved in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend Latrelle Peeks. He allegedly punched her in the mouth, then threw her out of the car while they were fighting/breaking up. Dominique went to Harlem Hospital afterward to get the cut in her mouth treated. The Daily News reports:
Yesterday, she told police she did not want Peeks arrested, but the NYPD’s policy is to charge domestic violence offenders even if the victim doesn’t cooperate.
Peeks’ mother, Jewel Gomez, defended her son, saying: “He said he did not hit her. They had a scuffle and one thing led to another. … I’m sure that if she had not been Sharpton’s daughter, this would had been a private matter.
Now y’all know if Al had to sweat his perm out to get with homeboy this situation would have gotten even worse. Al would have been double pissed.

The YBF has the first look at the Lebron James and Dwight Howard’s McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial. Both NBA ballers have just recently signed on with Mickey D’s as spokesmen and it’s their first commercial for the brand. The commercial came together through Steve Stoute’s Translation Marketing company. Check out the 12 second preview.
