Do We Love It?: Michelle O.'s Democratic National Convention Look & Speech

Michelle Obama gave her headlining and historic speech at last night's Democratic National Convention to show the personal side of her hubby Barack. And she rocked this turquoise blue ’50s-inspired dress designed by Maria Pinto--a friend and designer based in her hometown of Chicago. (The same designer who did her now famous purple sheath dress we all loved.) So...

DO WE LOVE IT?

More pics of her, the kids, and full video of her speech when you read the rest...   Here's more pics of Mrs. O and the cuteness that is Malia and Sasha Obama: The Senator made a point to tell his wife she looked "cute" when he spoke to her via satellite after her speech for the whole world to hear.   And in case you missed her fabulous speech last night, check it below:

Of course we love it!

Of course we love it! Michelle looked great in that dress. definitely showed off her figure in a classy way. Hair and make up was on point too!. Her speech was great and made me feel so proud to be an african american in this country because finally there is a female like michelle obama that represents us in a different light. No doubt she's gorgeous but when you think of michelle you think classy, smart, and powerful. Thats how i want to be looked at instead of guys seeing women and thinking "that girl got a fat ass."

I think she looks fabulous.

I think she looks fabulous. But I'm not fan of the dress. I don't think the neckline flatters her shoulders at all.
This post should be post of the moment instead of the Brat getting time! How come something positive is never a post of the moment????
you can say that again. Like Whoopi said when Michelle was on the View 'thank you Michelle for being an articulate black woman - all we see on TV are black women with no teeth or with gold teeth and cant speak properly'. It gets perpetuated here as well. Michelle inspired me so much I just want to be a better person everyday and reach for those stars while making sure that I do not climb over people to get to the top because I might need them on my way down. Truly an inspirational family

She...moved..me...to...TEARS. And when I got in to work this morning, one of my favorite people (who happens to be white) called me from her car on her way to work to tell me she was wearing turquoise because she wanted to be like Michelle...real talk that resonated across this country REGARDLESS of demographic.

Oh by the way, I love

Oh by the way, I love Michelle's teeth they are perfect. People say she isn't much to look at but they are going by a particular standard of beauty. Her hair is full and healthy, skin looks youthful, she is young enough to know the challenges of raising kids now a days, and she loves and supports her man. She was not going for the video vixen look so the dress was perfect below the knee yet a jersey material which snugged the hips. The broach on the dress made you focus on her face at it commends your attention. The kids were dressed like little girls. Some people could take a note from her.

Michelle was flawless to me,

Michelle was flawless to me, but keep in mind some people, that are not going to ever vote for Obama no matter what are going to find something wrong with her regardless. She is clearly a step above any past first ladies in her self representation, and sure as hell is step above Cindy Mccain. The McCains look like a one of those couples off of "Black hole sun " where the people are looking all fake and demented. Please disregard the fact that I even know about that video, hehehe. But that is how they look to me.

i LOOOOOOOOOOVE this family. They are so full of love and warmth, you can feel it and see it. I love the way Barack looks at his wife. I love the way she teared up during her speech about how much she loved him. I love the fact that those two little girls love the hell outta that man. This family is all around great. That speech was uplifting, made me want to catch the holy ghost and then go paint Barack's face on the side of my house at 12:32 at night. I love her hair, but that dress... eh... I think she should had a black dress on.

Michelle worked it on all

Michelle worked it on all counts. Her skin looked beautiful. The hair was EXCELLENT, she has struggled with that in the past. Her dress was very appropriate for the event. I liked the color on her but I must admit she could have left that broach at home. Most importantly, her speech was on point well delivered and covered all the bases. You can just tell that she is very secure within herself and comfortable with herself as well. Its true that she is no beauty queen per se, but sometimes a persons mind and personality make them much more attractive which is the case for her.

Mrs. O officially won the

Mrs. O officially won the Presidency of the United States of America for her husband, Mr. O, last night!! It is a DONE deal. Cindy can go on to her Botox appointments and skip the RNC, b/c she cannot begin to write or co-write a speech like that, in spite of the fact that she is McCain's former mistress turned wife. . . John and Cindy McCain are no match for Barack and Michelle Obama for the United States of America. If the Presidency was decided by a true popular vote of the people, the Obamas would make history, easy!!! They, the Obamas, simply put, wonderfully stated are the American Dream. Their backgrounds, accomplishments and story is only possible in this nation!! Forget the hypricosy America, the time has come for us to put our vote where our mouth is and to walk the talk with a President, First Lady and First Family who I truly believe have our, the People's best interest at heart. May God Bless us, May God Bless America, and May God Bless our World.

Michelle held it down for all

Michelle held it down for all women, not just african or black. she represented the country the new world that we are all seeking after. I WANT PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND IF OBAMA DOESNT GET ELECTED TO OFFICE, AMERICA HAS LOST BIG TIME. IF PEOPLE RATHER VOTE MCAIN IN ITS LIKE A SHIP SINKING AND EVERYONE IS WILLING TO DIE BEFORE ALLOWING A BLACK MAN TO LEAD THEM TO LAND.

I loved her look, but most importantly her speech that I watched twice had the tears going both times...and darn it if Milah and Sasha didn't steal my heart!!! New Obama bumper sticker: "I love you Daddy!!"

Michelle rocked it last night

Michelle rocked it last night . . . but I'm on the fence about her choice of dress. I personally would have done a linen skirt suit or a cute a-line dress. Her butt and hips looks HUGE in this get up . . . and the applique in the front looks too matronly.

She very stuck in her way with no justified reason NOT to vote except her 1 vote won't count. This is stressing me out, any one has any suggestions?
I would ask your mom (if I were you) if how she would feel explaining to our future generations why she didn't participate in one of the most important elections in American History...why, given the opportunity to MAKE history by voting for the first black man on a major party ticket in the United States - a black man that represents what's good about being black in America - she decided it wasn't important enough to cast her ballot, and to instead, stay at home...why, given all of the sacrifices that our predecessors have made to make an election like this possible, she would turn the other way and decide that it wasn't worth her time...why not only her future, but her children's and grandchildren's future, wasn't important enough for her to put aside her discontent long enough to cast a ballot in argueably the most important election in 50 years. If she were my mother, that's what I would say. Hope that helps :) **Sorry** I tend to get worked up when it comes to our people casting aside our right to vote, considering how hard our ancestors had to work to get them in the first place!!!

Hey Ladies!!! I heart Michelle Obama!! She bought tears to my eyes too:) I was overwhelmed with how historic this moment really was. Finally, young women have a TRUE role model and it is soooo refreshing and inspiring. The speech was AWESOME and her dress was tasteful and jazzy all at the same time. How did Barack get so lucky and find such a jewel tucked away on the Southside of Chicago...(and vice versa)? There is no stopping these two and I am supporting them the whole way!!! Go Obama!!
