Lauryn Hill Pens Open Letter To Fans About Pregnancy

We told you previously that Lauryn Hill told fans at a concert in Detroit, that she was pregnant. Now, she has announced it to the world via an open letter on twitter. And she also addressed showing up tardy to her gigs. Read her open letter to fans inside....

Lauryn Hill penned an open letter to fans about her growing family and thanked them for their support, while she takes time off to prepare for the birth.

And not that she owes us an explanation, it's interesting that she does not address that Rohan Marley announced on twitter that he is not the father of her baby. Maybe that -ish will get cleared up in the next letter.

Lauren is her own woman and she shouldn't give a reason (or excuse) about her pregnancy. Now for this Rohan character why did she have baby#3? I speak of the third child because baby #1 is a pure gift as well as a surprise (finding out about him being married), now baby#2 that one is usually a make-up baby, baby#3 is from what?, can we try again so we can mess up--(baby#4!), baby #5 is due to what? "I have all my kids by him so I might as well keep this cycle going?! Now here is baby#6! (after the breakdowns and probably the beatdowns as well, we all know how those jamaican men can get- they will talk with their hands after a while). I don't think this is his child but if it is Rohans' child--ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! at least by him anyway 'cause now he is PUBLICLY AND VOCALLY DEMEANING YOUR CHARACTER, MS.HILL! And another tidbit: Lauren says she is married to Rohan and don't need the governments' approval to be labeled "married" then why she is not addressing herself as Ms. Marley? She made the mistake of letting a man "get her mind"as well as her body!!! First and foremost Lauryn doesnt owe anyone an explanation. She doesnt even owe us an apology. As with any person who gains in marriage and or pregnancy....its nothing you can hide. She as with so many of us have learned best through our experiences....none as we ever visioned for life. See we can all hope and pray for greatness but this life is full of surprises. I myself can look back at so many things that took place in my life that were contrary to my vision. Needless to say the ideas of possibly having the late Bob Marley's grandchildren was probably intriguing. Downside any man who is connected to another woman when you meet them is definately not a great contender for a future life together. For he didnt hold up his prior vow. Rohan as with so many men preyed on Lauryn at the height of her career. He wanted that shine even when he knew he was good and married. Bottom line is it seems that they have not been together and it seems as though she has moved forward. Its all great. No ones perfect with these inperfections we change change how we raise our children in the light of the grand mistakes made so that they should never experience such.

yep, I think Rohan played a HUGE role in her career, or lack thereof -as far as actually working goes. & maybe now that they're no longer together she can finally get back to doing what she was born to do. I have no inerest in knowing who the father of her child is. Last time I checked, Lauryn was over 18 and paying her own bills. I honestly think Rohan was the cause of Lauryn's supposed "break down". She didn't start doing shows again until they broke up. The entire time she was with him she made maybe 5 appearances. I think he ruled over and controlled Lauryn. She is getting back out there doing her thing and immediately he goes on twitter saying he is not the child's father. My frustration with Lauryn is

My frustration with Lauryn is that she doesn't appear to be learning from her past missteps. She had 5 children with a man who declined to make her his wife and cheated on her repeatedly. Her relationship with Rohan was on the heels of her failed relationship with Wyclef, a married man. When I listen to the MoLH, I feel encouraged and inspired. She might want to put some of her songs on repeat so her own lessons become ingrained in her.

I hear you. i feel you. yet, talented people are said to be gifted. they are given the gift of a message by something way stronger than them and they work with a team of people to share that message and inspire others. That album, and her gifts and talents have helped to create intelligence and strength in so many and probably more to come. Watch your mouth, that is, leave her kids out of it. The number of kids that she has does not bother me, why, because she can take care of them. Emotionally, it is devastating.
