FIRST LOOK: Sanaa Lathan Gets FAB As The New Face Of PANTENE!

Actress Sanaa Lathan is putting her great looks and envious hair to good use. She's been named the brand new face of the Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion collection. And TheYBF.com has the first look at her fresh-faced new photoshoot for her new gig....

Pantene's new Nature Fusion Moisture Balance Collection is getting all made up with a pretty face. The 40-year-old "The Cleveland Show" actress, Sanaa Lathan, has just officially been named the new spokeswoman.

As for how she keeps her hair looking naturally healthy with that flowing look she constantly rocks on the red carpet, she revealed, “It is important to me that I treat my hair with products that have naturally-derived ingredients, like Cassia in the Nature Fusion Moisture Balance Collection, which has made my hair so soft and strong.”

And since she doesn't just wake up with perfectly healthy hair, she admits all the styling has indeed ripped her mane apart. So she dished on her fave products that work for her.

“Throughout my life, Pantene has been one of the few hair care brands that effectively address the specific needs of my hair texture," Sanaa says about the product line. "My hair is prone to dryness and my career does not help the situation! All of the styling and heat on set leaves my hair dull, lifeless and damaged. I need a shampoo and conditioner that nourishes my hair and I want to use more natural products. That is why I love Nature Fusion Moisture Balance shampoo and conditioner. It is great that, as a black woman, I can look to a brand like Pantene to provide my hair with the nourishment it needs.”

Sanaa is not like Beyonce trying to water down her blackness. Sanaa mom does have native american in her but Sanaa is just too classy to even mention it. I saw a picture of her mom and her mom clearly looks like she has native in her she has long beautiful healthy hair just like Sanaa on that pic. That pic was taken some time ago though. If she wanted she could say that but she never mentioned it unlike Bey on that new commercial saying she is native and french w/ Tina being creole. It sure did not help her or Sol in the hair department they both have real kinky hair. I read about Sanaa mom in her Bio it says she has native in her and that she also use to act and perform back in the day. At least w/ Sanaa the proof is in the pudding! On another note It's just a thought. Since Bey has these new commercials claiming to be French and Native this will be how she explain to the public if Bluebell looks anything but black! who cares if Sanaa's mom has native American in her. She looks black. So, many black people are mixed up. It's like an ethiopian saying he/she is mixed, black people come in different skin color, hair texture, features. If any of your parent is not fully from another ethnic group then you are black, and it doesn't matter whether down the line, it's old news, and it shows insecurity. I've seen some non black girls who clearly have some black in them down the line cuz they don't look fully white/latina but they never claim anything black. Actually, they go out of their way to look more white. Oh, I forgot, everybody is whitewashed and want to be associated with anything white. White superiority.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree w/ you. I also feel the same as you about if you parent is not fully from another group ethnic group then by all means you are black. I was just saying I was so glad she was not trying to go there about the moms background like so many fully blacks are doing now. Like I said it is just another way for blacks to waterdown their blackness by saying just what Bey is doing on that new commercial. It is truly ridiculous. Like Meagan Good is now saying she has a jewish paternal grandmother and puerto rican background as well. I hope she knows mentioning having someone jewish in her background still won't help her get better acting jobs. Meagan, Bey and all the rest need to stop it. Both of them are 100%. I just applaud Sanaa for not going there.

Celebrities tend to use pieces because of heat damage....if you notice, models and actresses may be styled three to five times a day. That can be a lot on the hair, so they add pieces so that they are able to protect their natural hair. Toya tweeted a pic of her real hair which was long and healthy, but she still wears weaves...weaves dont take your hair out! If it is done correctly then your hair should grow, not fall out...I went natural and cut my perm out.. I then wore sew ins until my hair grew back out...in which it did and now I am wearing my hair
