NICKI'S BACK: Nicki Mianj Returns To Twitter...With A Fraction Of Her Previous 11 Million Barbz

For those of you who haven't been able to carry on with your normal daily activities these last 9 days due to Nicki Minaj's Twitter absence, you can now rejoice. Your leader has returned.

The 29-year-old rapstress has finished the battle of voices in her head and finally returned to twitter (@NickiMinaj). She deleted her entire page 9 days ago--along with all 11 million of her followers.

Today, the "Beez In The Trap" chick has less than 500,000 followers (as of 4:30p EST). But we're pretty sure that number will skyrocket soon. Just so people can see what her first Tweet will be after all this foolishness.

While in London last week, Nicki told Capital FM that the reason she deleted her Twitter wasn't because her biggest fan site, Nicki Daily, posted her music illegally. But the fan site didn't know that as they proceeded to delete their whole site with only "Dear Old Nicki" playing in the background. Nicki claims it was because she "needed a moment":

"Let's set the record straight because a lot of times I don't speak on things, but I don't want people to think that's why I deleted my Twitter. I just needed a moment to myself. Because some page posted things about me — I mean, I've read horrible things about myself. I wouldn't delete my Twitter over that."

Nicki has yet to send out her first Tweet. But now that her temper tantrum is over, will her big fan site follow suit and make a return as well?

Twitter followers do not

Twitter followers do not equal album sales folks, therefore it doesnt matter how many followers you have. Diggy had a bunch and his album flopped, and so did solider boys. If i was a follower of hers I wouldnt come back. She told them all "kiss my ass and my anus, cause I am finally famous". Her over inflated ego is crazy considering this is only her second album. Most people I know dont care for her and the ones I do (children) cant buy her album.

Nikki needs more people or maybe needs th start listening to the people she has. Deleting a twitter page with 11 million followers and her major fan site will prove detrimental to her. I seriously doubt she will ever get to 11 million again because most of thos folks signed up at the peak of her career. They are probably over her antics already. Record companies,advertisers and televisionlook at those numbers to gauge popularity to see whether or not to back her and give her promo o thier shows so now let's see how she she does when she has no fan site and less than 2 million followers on twitter. ok. she should know by now that people are going to talk about her regardless if it is good or bad. to me, she is really in it for the attention now because why would you delete your twitter page if people are talking bad about you but then turn right back around and create a new so the same people can do the same damn thing. i was one of the few people who liked her music but now it all sounds silly and childish.

I wouldn't pay to be a celebrity in this age. Constantly mocked and criticized, and yet expected to endure it all gracefully b/c this is what you "signed up for." I can barely take criticism on my looks from my bf. I can't imagine having millions of people making fun of me overtly. I expect I'd have "temper tantrums" too. Or more likely, hideaway from it all to avoid the scrutiny. Although Nicki Minaj is not my flavor, I give her much respect for being brave enough to be who she wants to be despite all the heckling and insults.

Public Scrutiny is the price one has to pay as a celebrity because their success is based on us; the fans. Celebrities will be nothing without fans supporting whatever brand it is they are trying to promote, because ultimately we are the ones they are trying to sell it to. So Yes, it may hurt and even be unfair sometimes but it comes with the territory of making those millions('i'm pretty sure they don't complain then). If they didn't like it they could have chose a different path; it wasn't imposed.

A lot of celebs don't make millions... So that argument sucks. Some aren't even attention whores, they just want to create art and share it with the world. That whole "that's what they get for being in the limelight" argument is some bull. All human beingings deserve a certain amount of respect.
