Fantasia Pops Off About Gay Marriage, Asks Why SHE Gets Judged...

Fantasia had something to say on Instagram...again. And this time she's going off about all the wrongs in the world--like gay marriage--and expressing her confusion as to why she gets judged when others do "wrong" things as well.

Check out Fanny's attempt at a literate opinion inside...

While tweeting a pic of herself "rising above it all", as she said, Fantasia gave her readers a piece of her mind about all the "wrongs" in the world. She questioned why those who support/are involved in gay marriage, making weed legal, etc. are allowed to just go mad. But she, a person who got pregnant by a married man, is judged so harshly.

Needless to say, she caught a massive amount of backlash. And that explains why she deleted the post a little while later.

Meanwhile, Fanny is going from city to city doing performances.

*UPDATE* Fantasia's rep, Brian Dickens, has put out the following statement on his client's behalf:

Comments made by Ms. Barrino through her Intragram account were recently taken far out of context, and the purpose of this release is to set the record straight. Ms. Barrino is not now, nor has she ever been an opponent of the LGBT community. She has supported and performed at numerous events that are sponsored by the LGBT community. Whether it’s through a live performance or placement on social media, Ms. Barrino uses every opportunity to reach out and connect with her fans, all of her fans.

Dear Fantasia, yes we all sin

Dear Fantasia, yes we all sin and no sin is greater than the next. One thing you need to keep in mind is that people are always going to have something to say and when you go out and mess with a married man and turn around and have a baby with him you make it easier for people to have something to talk about. That being said, get over the fact that people judge you and just accept the fact that is the nature of people and stop trying to explain yourself and stop trying to understand why people give you so much flack about it because that's what got you in this mess.

I don't think Fantasia meant any disrespect to the LGBT community. I think she simply meant that is something that the bible speaks against just like all the other things that goes on in the world. Not to say she is against it but I think she made a mistake by using gay marriages in comparison to her having a child with a married man. Because now it looks as though she is speaking negatively about the gay marriage.

Okay. As illiterate as some may call her, I'm just not understanding how the point she was making has been missed. I remember in elementary school when there were tests given. On these tests, you would read a paragraph, and no matter how many various topics were discussed in the paragraph, there was always a main point, idea, or overall tone. You would select A,B,C,D,E when asked "What is the main point of this story?" Yes, I know some people on here may attack me and call me ridiculous names with capitalized words and far too many exclamation marks, but I won't be the one to ignore what she means, and I will not make her into a monster for what she meant. I believe we should step back and read what she wrote one more time before picking one topic she mentioned in whole "paragraph", and try to understand the main "point, idea, or topic". You may find you've selected the wrong answer...

If you're against gay marriage, you're not being forced to enter into such a union. It is only as recently as 1967 that the USSC struck down miscegenation laws, and whites held similar belief to yours that the races shouldn't mix. My advice to them would have been the same, which is not to marry interracially. It is funny how as blacks we are quick to forget that the same Bible that we so love to quote to point out the sins of others is the same instrument that was used to keep us in chains and shackles because it was "God's will" for the servants to serve the masters. There is a separation of church and state for a reason: marriage is a legal contract between two people that may also be a religious union, but the two are not mutually exclusive. So, save the sermon for church!

However, I will take a stab as to why: these women might have out-of-wedlock children themselves, but not for someone else's husband as Ms. Barrino did.
