Oscar nominee Viola Davis spent some time at the Georgia Aquarium recently with her daughter Genesis. We rarely get to see pics of the adorable tot, but we've got pics of the mommy-daughter twosome having some fun with a dolphin inside...

Beautiful Creatures star Viola Davis recently took a break from one of her many film projects to share a cutesy aquatic adventure at Georgia Aquarium with her daughter Genesis. Viola is in GA filming her next flick Prisoners and she brought her baby girl in on one of her celebrity perks-- a behind-the-scenes tour of the Aquarium.

The uber cutie, who was adopted a year and a half ago as a newborn by Viola and her hubby Julius, was having tons of fun shaking hands with her new dolphin friend. And she got to meet with stars of the AT&T Dolphin Tales dolphin show. Oh the life of kiddies...

Viola's also stepmom to Julius' two kids from previous relationships. Love her.

Why is it the few black celebs that adopt always get a fair to light baby but we wanna bash white celebs who will adopt the darkest child in the orphanage.....just saying

U know Jesus tells it like it is...so here's the scuttlebutt:: White people adopt black boys in hopes that they'll play in the NFL one day (like that movie The Blind Side)...and Black People adopt white kids in hopes that they'll graduate from a non-black UNIVERSITY some day....which is basically 13th Grade and anyone can get in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if you understand the adoption process but it's a tedious one, and I don't think their intention was to get a "light skinned" baby. I think they just wanted a healthy child no matter what he or she looked like. I don't think it's as deep as you just made it out to be. You're implying that you know someone's character based off a picture when you don't.

Oh please, it's a common factor that when blacks adopt the 1st kids to go are light girls, than light boys, dark girls, dark boys. Even Denzel Washington pointed that out at the beginning of his 1st movie he directed. The name escapes me right now

I totally get your point and,

I totally get your point and, not even to be funny, I think this would be a legitimate point if it wasn't for the fact that the baby is really not all that fair/light-skinned. Perhaps next to Viola's very dark skin it appears that way, but she just looks like a regular caramel/brown baby. I mean, not regular because she is crazy adorable, but you know what I mean.
