Meek Mill canceled a scheduled meeting at the White House and it's reported Jay-Z talked him out it. Deets inside....

Meek Mill...at the White House?!

Yep. The MMG rapper, who was released from prison last month, was set to attend a Prison Reform Summit hosted by Trump at the White House today, but he bailed at the last minute. Why? Well, it's reported his mentor/biggest supporter Jay-Z urged him not to. Good call.

According to TMZ, Hov called up Meek last night and told him not to go to the White House because it would b attende problematic for his image and for his cause of truly fixing the criminal justice system.

Later, Meek issued a statement explaining why he would not attend the summit:

"I was originally scheduled to be part of a panel on Prison Reform at the White House to help shed light on the issues within the system. Unfortunately, the focus turned to the President and Myself which concerned me that it might take away from creating a positive result from today’s discussions," he said.

"As a result, I decided not to attend so that the focus would be solely on fixing our prison system. Most importantIy I remain fully committed to improving our criminal justice system," he concluded.

Not sure how he, of all people, hasn't yet realized EVERYTHING this administration does is for them to make themselves the center of attention.  It's a PR grab, at best where you will be the prop.  And no real change will be made.  Ask the presidents of all the HBCUs, the Cogresisonal Black Caucus, the preachers who all banded together to go chat with Trump, Steve Harvey, and even Caitlyn Jenner

Glad he listened because meeting with Trump right now would not be a good look. And we can bet Meek's homie/Patriots owner Robert Kraft - who is also besties with Trump - had something to do with this.
