Suspect, captured!  Police believe they have Eric Holder - the suspect in the shooting death of Nipsey Hussle - in custody.  The latest, breaking news inside.

Just 12 hours after LAPD put the masses on notice that they were looking for 29-year-old Eric Holder as their main suspect in the shooting death of rapper Nipsey Hussle, he's been captured and an arrest has been made.

CBS LA reports:

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to CBS2 that 29-year-old Eric Holder was caught by deputies sometime before 1:30 p.m. Los Angeles police told CBS2 they were responding to confirm the suspect’s identity as Holder.

The news station put out a Tweet minutes later clarifying that police deputies are still verifying the identity of the man they have in custody.  But signs are pointing to it indeed being Holder that they caught.

The man believed to be Holder was captured in Bellflower, a city located in southeast Los Angeles County.  LAPD confirmed in today's press conference that the gunman in Nipsey's death, as seen on surveillance cameras, had multiple interactions with Nipsey and two others just before the gunman returned a little while later targeting Nipsey outside his own store with multiple gunshots.

Eye witnesses previously stated the gunman hopped in a white Chevy Cruze after the shooting, and it was driven by an unidentified female. According to TMZ, that woman - who they believe they spoke to via phone today - says she had no idea what the alleged gunman, now identified as Holder, was doing.

The woman they spoke to, thanks to a tip that connected Eric Holder's name to the very car LAPD mentioned, admits she was with Holder on Sunday. She also claims the white Chevy is her car, despite his name being attached to it on a car repair shop invoice:

We got tipped that the car police say Holder used was taken to an auto shop last June. We found out from people connected to the shop there was indeed a car that came in with the license plate in question. The name on the invoice was Eric Holder, along with a phone number.

We called the number and a woman answered. She said she did not know Holder last June but subsequently did get to know him. That didn't make a lot of sense because it appears the car is registered to either her or someone in her family ... yet Holder's name was on the invoice. She told us it was her car.

The woman then said she subsequently began a friendship with Holder and she was with him Sunday when they drove to Nipsey's clothing store near the Crenshaw District of L.A. She claims she was waiting for him in the alley when he went over to the clothing store. She also claims she didn't know why he was going there and he didn't say anything when he came back to the car.

The woman claimed she was calling detectives to "clear her name," but detectives told TMZ they have yet to speak to her. It has not been confirmed by police, yet, that the woman the site spoke to is for sure the "getaway" driver.
