Russell Westbrook did it big in honor of Nipsey Hussle during his game last night. Deets on the OKC Thunder baller dedicating his triple double to the late rapper inside...

Hours after police captured the man believed to who have taken the life of rapper Nipsey Hussle, Oklahoma City Thunder baller Russell Westbrook found the perfect way to honor his legacy.

Last night, Westbrook - a Long Beach, California native - did something only one other NBA player has ever done in the history of the game. He posted up 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists during the game against the Los Angeles Lakers. And it's a HUGE deal because it's the first time a player has scored a triple-double in NBA history since Wilt Chamberlain in February 1968. Yasssss!

Westbrook's talents helped the Thunder defeat the Lakers, 119-103.

After his historic feat, Westbrook dedicated his epic performance to his friend, slain rapper Nipsey Hussle.

"That's for Nipsey!" Westbrook yelled as he slapped his chest after his 20-20-20 tripe double.

During a post game interview, Westbrook shared he was dedicating the accomplishment to Nip and seemingly the Rolling 60s Crip gang the rapper was affiliated with.

"That wasn't for me. That was for my bro. That was for Nipsey. 20 plus 20 plus 20. They know what that means. Rest in peace to Nipsey, man. I'm just thankful to go out there and compete at a high level, man. Thankful to have these teammates. Thankful and humbled to go out there and play the game I love."

Before the game, Westbrook rocked a blue Crenshaw t-shirt, which stems from Nip's landmark mixtape.

Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in front of his clothing store on Sunday, March 31st. Police arrested the suspected shooter, Eric Holder, yesterday (April 2nd). According to reports, Eric allegedly shot Nipsey over a personal dispute.

New details surrounding Nipsey's death are trickling in. According to TMZ, the Grammy nominated rapper was doing a good deed for a friend who was recently released from prison when he was murdered. Sources tell the site Nipsey stepped out to his Marathon Clothing store to get some clothes for a friend who just came home from serving 20 years in prison. He wanted to hook his friend up with some new threads so he could be fresh before meeting his own family.

Apparently, Nipsey didn't notify his primary security guard that he was leaving. It's reported the friend he was buying clothes for is one of the other two people who were injured in the shooting. The third guy shot was the friend's nephew, who drove him to the clothing store.

So sad. Prayers for Nipsey's children, his longtime girlfriend Lauren London, the rest of his family, friends, and fans.
