SHEESH! 'Avengers: Endgame' Already Broke Every Record And It's Still Opening Day, Headed For $1B Weekend

Avengers: Endgame is doing the most at the box office, and it has every right to.  The most anticipated Marvel Universe flick - aside from Black Panther, obvi - of the decade has arrived, and it's everything fans wanted it to be.  $1B dollar worth what they wanted it to be.  The record breaking deets inside.

We're seventeen hours into opening day here in the States, and Avengers: Endgame has already passed the $140M mark.  Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle and the rest of the Avengers are on par for a $300M domestic opening weekend, the biggest in film history period.  The global opening number on deck: $1B. Billion with a B.  Over just 3 days.

Deadline reports:

We are in uncharted waters with Endgame, but an international opening of well over $700M is now in sight. Couple that with domestic’s likely $300M start and we are ready to call an unprecedented $1B global opening a strong possibility. As we reported in our worldwide preview, to make that happen China and/or the U.S. would need to overperform. China is certainly doing it with two days of play to go (though we do expect Sunday to see a steep drop given folks need to work that day). The rest of international has blown up through Thursday, and will see Mexico join the team today, plus there’s all that Saturday and Sunday on deck.

Sheesh.

We've been avoiding spoilers like the plague, but one thing's for sure.  The overwhelming majority is uber impressed by the 3 hour flick.

Marvel is tearing up all the record books with a $140 million-$150 million opening day, blasting away Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ first-day and single-day records of $119.1M, according to Deadline. MU's got all the top charts sewn up too:

The No. 2 pic of the weekend is Disney’s own Captain Marvel in its eighth week with $7M and a $412.5M running cume by Sunday. She is benefiting greatly from Endgame. A year ago, Black Panther ranked fourth against the opening of Infinity War with $4.7M in Weekend 11 and a running $688.3M total.

That Marvel bag is SERIOUS.

What day are you going?!

EXTRAS:

1. The owner of a $30,000 box of cash left the box on the bumper of his truck, and all the money spilled all over the highway in Grand River, MI last night. Motorists lost it. STORY
