Nipsey Hussle's daughter's mother Tanisha Foster claims the rapper's sister, Samantha Smith, took custody of their daughter, Emani Asghedom, and refuses to return her. Deets inside...

More details involving the custody of Nipsey Hussle's daughter is being brought to light.

Tanisha Foster - the mother of Nipsey's 10-year-old daughter Emani Asghedom - claims she's going to battle till the end to regain custody of her daughter. She claims the Grammy nominated rapper's sister, Samantha Smith, took custody of Emani after he was murdered on March 31st and has refused to give her back to her.

The Blast got ahold of court documents that state Tanisha is objecting to the filing by Samantha, who requested the court give her guardianship over Emani. You'll recall, Samantha filed for temporary guardianship over Emani last month because she feels like Tanisha is unable to care for Emani. And so does the rest of the family. Both Nipsey's brother Blacc Sam and his father Dawit Asghedom signed off on documents that Emani should be given to Samantha. Also, Samantha made it clear in her filing that she did not want Tanisha to be notified of the move. However, the judge wasn't feeling it and denied the request.

The Blast https://theblast.com/nipsey-hussle-baby-mama-custody-sister/ ">reports:

Foster states that she is Emani Asghedom’s mother and believes the “Law and Policy of this state favors the protection of the rights of natural parents and their children. Objector has statutory priority over petitioner.”

She claims that Emani was visiting Nipsey Hussle on the day that he was killed and says that Smith “unlawfully took the minor and as of this date, despite objectors demand, refused to return the minor to Objector.”

Foster believes that “the best interests” of Emani are not being served by Smith’s “act of removing the minor from her mother’s custody; and by refusing contact between minor and mother.”

It was previously reported the Department of Children and Family Services would be involved in the court hearings. DCFS officials are looking into the case to find out the most beneficial placement for Emani to be sure she's in a safe and stimulating environment.

A few days ago, Tanisha appeared in court for the first hearing where she was able to spend time with Emani. She claims it was the first time she had seen her daughter in months. The judge cleared the courtroom for 20 minutes so they could spend time together. After the hearing, she told The Blast, "I love my daughter and I’ll do whatever it takes to get her back.”

As expected, Tanisha wants Samantha's petition to be denied. It seems the judge denied Samantha's temporary request, but still has yet to rule where Emani will be placed permanently.

Sighs to it all.  Things simply don't add up to us.  We certainly hope the Department of Children & Family Services, who is now involved, helps everyone reach a solution.
