The Elbas are basking in their newlywed glow and making British Vogue history while doing so.  Get into their super stunning bridal cover and new wedding pics, plus the amazing thing Idris says Sabrina taught him.

After a gorgeous Marrekesh wedding this past April, Sabrina Dhowre wasted no time changing her Instagram name to Sabrina Elba, and we can't even blame her.

Their year (plus two months) engagement ended when the sexiest man alive making the fab model his wife in a multi-day wedding celebration captured exclusively by British Vogue.

Now, they're officially the first African couple to ever cover the magazine.  Editor-At-Large Edward Enninful - who styled Sabrina in two Vera Wang gowns and Idris in Armani - shared the pics from the July 2019 issue:

Whew.  Beautiful.

Idris posted his excitement about it saying:

What a time to be alive..... So proud of being on the cover of @britishvogue with my wife @sabrinaelba July issue on sale this Friday! #firstafricancoupleonbritishvogue

Sabrina, who is of Somali descent, gushed about the historical cover too:

It all feels like a dream @britishvogue July issue on sale this Friday @edward_enninful thank you for the beautiful words @seanthomas_photo such a joy to work with you. @idriselba we did it babe! First African couple on #BritishVogue

Idris' daughter Isan chimed in saying: "I’m obsessed! love you guys!"

The couple's honeymoon seemed equally as gorgeous, even in its minimalism.

They're still glued at the hip as any newlyweds would be.  They wined, dined & romanced on their Honeymoon at the Singita luxury wildlife conservation preserve in Tanzania, full of super luxe lodges.  Ugh, we need!

They're not just the picture perfect couple who seem to be invited to every event on earth - from Coachella weekend to Royal Weddings to Cartier dinners (they're at one tonight!).  Idris also revealed Sabrina taught him a thing or two.  The twice married father of two wasn't even looking for a wife.  But here we are.  He told the mag:

“You know, I’m 47 this year, been married and lived a full life before I even met Sabrina,” he continued. “It wasn’t something that I wanted to do, get married again. But…”

That 47-year-old even learned a thing or two from his 30-year-old bride (who turns 31 later this month).

“Sabrina has deepened friendships with people I’ve known longer than [her], nurturing the best side of me to make me connect to my friends more.”

When your partner can come into your world and unintentionally teach you to see & appreciate it differently - everything!

So what made him propose?  'Dris gushed to People magazine last year about his Sabi:

As for what makes Dhowre “the one,” Elba says the two “have good chemistry. She makes me laugh and we share common goals. She makes me happy. She makes me celebrate my successes and when I’m not too sure about stuff, she makes me think.”

The full interview will be in the issue that hits newsstands Friday.

They've been out and about all this week.  Tonight (Wednesday), they wined and dined at the Cartier x British Vogue Darlings Dinner at London's new Bond Street:

They snapped it up with Vogue editor Edward Enningful, actress GuGu Mbatha Raw, model Duckie Thot and Maya Jama.

They went on a double date last night with British rapper Stormzy and Maya Jama at The Chiltern Firehouse in London.

By the way, 'Dris' popular drama series on BBC, "Luther" returned this week with season 5.
