Welp. The Oakland Raiders just released Antonio Brown following drama that cost him millions of guranteed money. Deets inside...

NFL star Antonio Brown's wish was just granted.

In an Instagram post that went up this morning, the wide receiver asked the Raiders organization to "release" him following some drama that went down during practice with General Manager Mike Mayock.

“I have worked my whole life to prove that the system is blind to see talent like mines," he wrote on Instagram. "Now that everyone sees it, they want me to conform to that same system that failed me years ago. ‘I’m not mad at anyone. I’m just asking for freedom to prove them all wrong.’ Release me (Raiders).”

He posted that caption with a meme that said, "You're gonna piss a lot of people off when you start doing what's best for you."

Hours later, the Raiders granted his wish. They released him.

Antonio reportedly does not have to clear through waivers. He's now an unrestricted free agent and free to sign where he wants.

The Raiders traded 3rd and 5th round picks in the 2019 draft for Brown back in March. He negotiated a new contract with the Raiders where the organization was set to pay him $50.13 million over the next three years with $30.13 million guaranteed. However, he'll never see that guaranteed money after the team voided it due to conduct detrimental to the team.

Ish hit the fan when GM Mike Mayock confronted Antonio at practice this week about him posting a $54K fine notice he received from the team after he skipped yet another practice. AB also posted a video of a wire tapped phone conversation with head coach Jon Gruden questioning his commitment to Raiders.

Antonio issued an apology to his teammates after the incident and everyone thought everything was cool, but apparently not.

So yeah, we won't see Antonio Brown playing for the Raiders against the Broncos for Monday Night Football. Where do you think he'll end up?
