A new #METOO documentary is coming down the pipeline that features Russell Simmons’ sexual assault accuser and Oprah is reportedly producing it. Deets inside…

We’re sure the masses will have an opinion about this one.

A #METOO documentary is about to premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, which features one of Russell Simmons’ sexual assault accusers. And reports say Oprah Winfrey is executive producing the new documentary.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Oprah Winfrey will serve as executive producer for a new documentary that will focus on “a brilliant former music executive who grapples with whether to go public with her story of assault and abuse by a notable figure in the music industry."

The site reported the documentary will focus on Drew Dixon. You’ll recall, Drew shared with the New York Times that Russell Simmons allegedly raped her. She was a long time executive at Russell's Def Jam label and she said while overseeing projects from Method Man and Mary J. Blige, the Hip Hop mogul constantly harassed her and even raped her one night in his Manhattan apartment in 1995 when she was 25.

The documentary will premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival between Jan. 23rd and Feb. 2, 2020 and will live on Apple TV. It's described as an "examination of race, gender, class and intersectionality, and the toll assaults take on their victims and society at large." Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering are co-directors.

We expect Lady O will catch some backlash like she did when she interviewed the two men from the Michael Jackson documentary. How do you feel about the upcoming documentary? Will you be getting Apple TV to watch?
