Here’s How Kobe Bryant Was Honored During Super Bowl LIV Because You Likely Missed It + Staples Center Removes Enormous Kobe Memorial

Super Bowl LIV paid tribute to Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant and the 7 other victims who lost their lives last week. However, you may have missed it. Deets on the tributes, why the Staples Center has removed a massive Kobe memorial and deets on his funeral arrangements inside…

NBA icon Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and the 7 other victims who lost their lives in a horrific helicopter crash last week were honored during Super Bowl LIV in Miami, but you may have missed it.

Days before the Super Bowl, NFL commissioner Roger Goddell revealed the league would pay tribute to the 41-year-old retired NBA star, who was taken away from us too soon.

Before the Chiefs defeated the 49ers, the NFL stopped everything for a moment of silence to commemorate the NBA legend, his daughter and the 7 victims. Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers players all lined up at the 24-yard line in honor of Kobe’s Lakers jersey number. The NFL also set up an auction where fans can bid on signed items. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy.

The tribute also honored Chris Doleman, a former NFL defensive end and Hall of Famer who reportedly died last week after a battle with cancer.

Watch the moment of silence below:

Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson paid tribute to Kobe on his cleats:

49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis (who was inactive) also honored Kobe on his cleats:

49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders also honored Kobe on his cleats, writing "Rest in Peace" with both of Kobe's Lakers jersey numbers, #8 & #24:

Before the game, former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss fought back tears while talking about Kobe Bryant's legacy:

After Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performed, fans were wondering what happened to the Kobe tribute that was supposed to happen:

The tribute happened, but it was quick. After JLo's 11-year-old daughter Emme hit the stage to perform "Let's Get Loud," a cross appeared on the field that was illuminated in Lakers' colors, purple and yellow.

In the stands, singer Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson rocked Kobe Bryant jerseys at the game:

Meek Mill, Jay-Z and Yo Gotti rocked Kobe jerseys Michael Rubin's Fanatics Super Bowl Party at Loews Miami Beach Hotel over the weekend:

The Staples Center is cleaning up a massive memorial outside of the venue for Kobe Bryant following his death. Staples Center President Lee Zeidman tweeted some of the items will be given to the Bryant family.

Fans have been contributing items to the memorial, including basketballs, teddy bears and flowers with heartfelt messages written on them.

Fans who still want to show love are now urged to donate to the Bryant Foundation rather than bring more flowers and gifts.

As for funeral arrangements, USA Today reports details should be coming soon. Bryant's family and Los Angeles city official are still working out the details for the services.

“We don’t have that date finalized, but we’ve been talking every day to the Lakers, and most importantly, to (Bryant’s widow, Vanessa) as well," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said last week. A public memorial could be held at the Staples Center, the Lakers basketball home, or at a football stadium to accommodate what could be a massive crowd of mourners.

Following the tragedy....

Kobe's sister Sharia Washington spoke on behalf of Kobe’s side of the family about the tragedy and paid tribute to her brother and niece GiGi.
