Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are reportedly gearing up to make some boss moves. The couple is interested in buying the New York Mets, but a marriage license will have to wait. More inside…

A couple that makes boss moves together, stays together.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have to push their wedding back, but that’s not stopping them from making some big moves.

According to reports, JLo and A-Rod – who are engaged to be married - are interested in buying the New York Mets. The couple reportedly retained JPMorgan Chase in order to help raise money in an effort to make a bid for the Mets.

According to CBS Sports:

The team has been in a state of limbo since the Wilpon family, which currently owns the Mets, said they were looking to sell a majority share of the team in December. The Wilpons nearly struck a deal with billionaire hedge fund manager Steve Cohen that would have given Cohen 80 percent of the team while letting the Wilpons maintain control of the club for five years, but that deal fell apart and has left the Wilpon family looking for new prospective buyers.

In the proposed deal with Cohen, the Mets were valued at $2.6 billion. The combined net worth of Rodriguez and Lopez sits around $700 million.

As a player, A-Rod entertained signing with the Mets as a free agent in 2000. He ultimately signed a record 10-year, $252 million deal with the Texas Rangers. He was then traded to the Yankees, where he won a World Series.

J-Lo is from the Bronx, home of the Yankees.

Good for them. Outside of making business moves, the couple unfortunately had to push their wedding plans back due to COVID-19.

JLo and A-Rod have put their wedding plans on hold due to COVID-19. The former MLB star virtually appeared on "The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon," where he shared what's really good with their nuptials, which were expected to take place sometime this summer.

“We have to go with the flow now,” Alex said.

“Everything is fluid. Everything has been put on pause — and see where the world takes us. These are obviously unprecedented times, and for us, we just want to make sure ‘safety first,’ and that all the little ones are taken care of. And then some people said, 'Maybe we'll have a drive-thru wedding, it'll be cheaper!" Alex laughed.

Hilar.  He forgot who he's engaged to we guess.  Chick would never. Peep the clip above.
