Andrew Gillum & His Wife Will Be Discussing That Scandal & Their Marriage On 'Tamron Hall'

Well, this should be interesting.  Andrew Gillum has returned to the land of the living after bowing out (not so) gracefully from the public eye several months ago.  Now, he and his wife are addressing the Miami hotel that involved Andrew, an alleged wedding, crystal meth, and two other men.  Deets inside.

Back in July, former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum returned to social media after a tough go at running for Governor and that hotel scandal that rocked the media world.  You know the one. And it looks like we're about to get his first sit down about everything that's happened.

Tamron Hall is out of her kitchen (her impromptu production set during the pandemic) and back in a more formal setting to kick off her sophomore season of "Tamron Hall" with what she calls "a provocative and riveting hour-long exclusive interview."  The interview, going down during her season premiere on Sept. 14th, is with Andrew Gillum, a former rising superstar in the Democratic Party.

Andrew's hopes for a political future were derailed after a headline-making scandal this past spring where police were called to a hotel room where he and two other men were, as Andrew and another man were barely conscious and were allegedly found with drugs and alcohol surrounding them.  CPR had to be performed on the other man, who claimed on his social media that he was a fitness trainer but rumors spread he did more than just training.

The fallout was immense as everyone was quite shocked about what the scene implied and entailed.  Andrew, soon after, announced he would be entering rehab to deal with some issues he's been facing.

Andrew, who narrowly lost the 2018 gubernatorial run in Florida that would have made him the first Black governor of the nation’s largest swing state, will return to the public eye to discuss his swift fall from grace, his rehabilitation experience in the face of adversity, and share what life looks like now.

Folks have been wondering what his wife, R. Jai, thinks about everything that happened.  She will also join the discussion during the hour to talk about the impact this has had on their marriage and their family and what the future holds.

Here's a sneak peek:

Soon after news of Andrew's appearance surfaced, Tamron had this to say:

Welp, if America doesn't love anything else, it loves a comeback story.

By the way, Tamron is also set to welcome Samuel L. Jackson, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Stassi Schroeder, who was fired from "Vanderpump Rules" after her disgusting racism toward the only black cast member (sigh), and Melissa Ehteridge during her premiere week.

We'll be watching!
