Chloe Bailey's Emotional Video Discussing Judgmental Comments She’s Received About Her Sexually Empowered Instagram + Halle Berry & Wale Show Love

Chloe Bailey recently branched out on her own on Instagram where she launched a separate Instagram account from her sister Halle Bailey. Since then, the 22-year-old singer has been receiving judgmental comments for showing off her sexier side – a side her fans aren’t used to. Watch her emotional reaction to the negativity, plus Halle Berry & Wale having her back inside…

Towards the end of January 2021, Chloe x Halle announced that they would be launching their own personal Instagram accounts. Halle Bailey is busy overseas filming for The Little Mermaid, so they decided to start solo IG accounts.

Chloe Bailey came out with some HEAT. The "Grown-ish" actress hopped on the #BussItChallenge and nailed it:

Since then, the 22-year-old singer has been showing off her sexier side, a side her fans don’t get to see too often.

Sis has been slaying in some fire pictorials:

And she didn’t hold back showing off some super sultry choreography:

Most people have seemingly been all the way here for the baddie's new vibe.  She's always trending on Twitter and she deserves every hand clap for this mix of talent and BAWDY.  But not all the feedback Chloe has been receiving has been favorable. Like this one below:

In an IG Live, Chloe revealed she has been struggling with judgmental comments and other comments that sexualize everything she posts. Apparently, some folks had an issue with the video she posted of her burning sage in her underwear:

Chloe explained she was not “seeking attention” by posting the video. In her eyes, she was just letting fans in on who she really is and wanted to “spread positive vibes.”

“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable,” she said in the IG Live. “I’m telling myself that’s not what I’m going to do. Even when I posted the video yesterday… I didn’t really notice you all were talking about my a** because I was like, ‘OK, I’m just walking in for one seconds, two seconds’… and just being myself.”

“I just felt it was important to address [the comments], so you guys get to know who I am inside,” she said.

Before she started her solo IG, the "Do It" singer had a private "finsta" with just her friends and the world is just seeing what she has been posting on social media. Chloe said for a long time she struggled with self-confidence and she also struggled with her weight. Now, she has built some and her posts are a reflection of her learning to love fully love herself, flaws and all.

“It’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly. So when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”

“I don’t post what I post to get attention, I don’t need that… I’ve learnt I don’t need outside attention, so you all seeing what I’m posting is just me being me. I just hope you can see who I am, that’s it.”

She said what she said!

Hollywood actress Halle Berry and rapper Wale showed her some love amid the controversy:

”Sending lots of love to Chloe Keep doing you,” Halle Berry tweeted.

”Aye I met Chloe Bailey at the locs salon .. she one of the most humble people I’ve ever come across . Folks be mad for nothin man,” Wale tweeted.

And look, whoever did this is going to have to answer to comedian Desus AND us:

We don't play about our play niece in our head!

TV personality Nina Parker summed it up perfectly:

They hate to see it. Policing sexuality is so old.

Keep doing YOU, Chloe!
