Lil Durk & GF India Reportedly Shoot At Intruders During Scary Home Invasion

Rapper Lil Durk - who's out on bond in an attempted murder case - and his girlfriend and mother of one of his children, India Cox, reportedly fired off shots during a home invastion last Sunday. Luckily, no one was hurt. Details inside...

Rapper Lil Durk was recently the target of a scary home invasion.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, multiple people broke into the Chicago rapper's home in the Chateau Elan neighborhood of Braselton, GA (which is about an hour outside of Atlanta), this past Sunday around 5 AM, resulting in a shootout.

Both Durk and India reportedly discharged their firearms during the home invasion, but they were not injured, according to the GBI. At this time, it's unclear how many people actually entered the home. Cops are asking the public for tips to help with the investigation.

This attempted robbery could land Lil Durk in more legal trouble if he did, in fact, use a weapon.

In May 2019, The Voice rapper (real name Durk Derrick Banks) turned himself in after he was charged with five felonies stemming from an Atlanta shooting outside a popular restaurant, The Varsity, which left a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds. According to police, the shooting incident was reportedly captured on surveillance cameras from multiple businesses.

Durk was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault (shooting at), unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal gang activity, possession of firearm during commission of a felony, and possession of firearm by convicted felon. In June 2019, Durk was granted a $250,000 bond and was released from prison.

Georgia Law states it's a felony to possess a gun or Taser if you've been convicted of a felony (or certain juvenile offenses) anywhere in the U.S., unless you've received a pardon that explicitly allows you to have a firearm.

A person who is on probation as a felony first offender or has been convicted of a felony in Georgia, or anywhere else in the United States is prohibited from receiving, possessing, or transporting any firearm.

Durk meets these conditions - due to pleading guilty to two felony gun charges during a 2013 arrest in his hometown of Chicago - so it's possible he could rack up MORE charges following the home invasion. (He was given probation and community service for those two felony gun charges, despite being on parole from a prior 2012 aggravated unlawful use of a weapon conviction.)

We're glad neither Durk nor India were injured or worse, and we hope he gets to the bottom of this home invasion before things get any more dangerous.
