FROM STYLIST TO EMMY WINNER! Karrueche Tran Becomes 1st AAPI Lead Actress To Win Daytime EMMY

Karrueche Tran just made history as the first AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) to win lead actress in either the Daytime EMMYs or Primetime EMMYs. Woot! Celebrate inside....

Karrueche Tran is enjoying the fruits of her labor!

The 33-year-old started as a wardrobe stylist in L.A., however, the world didn't get to know her until she met global superstar Chris Brown and became his "girlfriend." After they called it quits, Kae really glowed up professionally. She got into acting and started landing some roles that put everyone on notice that she's a certified actress, including her role (that we LOVE) as Virginia on "Claws" and Vivian on "The Bay."

The model/actress has already won three Daytime EMMYs as an executive producer of the hit digital series "The Bay." This year, she landed a historic win in the Lead Actress category.

Last night, Karrueche Tran won the award for Outstanding Performance By A Lead Actress In A Daytime Fiction Program at the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards for her performance as Vivian Johnson-Garrett on Popstar! TV’s “The Bay.” Being of African American and Viatnamese heritage,  it was an epic win. She's the first Asian and Pacific Islander to win a Daytime or Primetime Emmy for lead actress.

Peep a behind-the-scenes look at her acceptance speech below:

Congrats KAE! We love a good GLOW UP!
