Nicki Minaj's Husband's Accuser Jennifer Hough Speaks Out: 'I'm Tired Of Being Afraid,' Blames Herself For Sexual Assault, Says Her Life Was Threatened After Refusing Hush Money

Jennifer Hough - the woman who launched a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth "Zoo" Petty - is speaking out about the couple's alleged intimidation tactics. She sat down with "The Real" to open up about being raped by Petty in 1994.  She also claims the couple and/or their camp  threatened to put a "hit" out on her after asking her to recant her story. Details from her interview inside...

Nicki Minaj's name has been heavy in the headlines lately for many things as media attention is brought up on her husband Kenneth "Zoo" Petty's 1994 rape conviction.

Fans have noticed every time a new update about Kenneth's case is released, Nicki hops on social media and starts posting pictures and videos of her son, whom she calls Papa Bear. She also recently shared flicks of herself, her son and her husband hanging out with Rihanna and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky to seemingly distract the Barbz from the reports about her husband's case. And there was also the outrage against a journalist who Nicki claims threatened her family member if they didn't speak to her about Nicki's story about her cousin's alleged reaction to the Covid vaccine.  Said journalist (from The Guardian) says the Whatsapp messages Nicki showed as proof were fake, and that she never contacted anyone.  She said she will now sue Nicki for exposing her address and phone number to the world.

Despite her efforts in trying to distract folks from what's transpiring with her husband's rape accuser, details about how The Pettys have allegedly harassed and intimidated his accuser are continuing to trickle in and make headlines.

After years of hiding, the woman is now ready to speak publicly for the first time.

Last month, Jennifer Hough filed a lawsuit against Kenneth Petty and his wife Nicki Minaj for intimidation and harassment. Even after she filed the lawsuit, she revealed a new threat on her life was issued from someone The Pettys know. In the lawsuit, Jennifer claims The Pettys are trying everything in their power to get her to recant the rape allegations she made against Kenneth.

Right now, Kenneth is facing up to 10 years in prison for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

On today's episode of "The Real," Jennifer and her lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, sat down with the co-hosts to discuss the lawsuit she filed last month where she alleged people in Nicki & Kenneth's camp attempted to bribe her with money in an attempt to have her recant her account of the 1994 rape when they both were teenagers. And then she was threatened, she says, when she refused the alleged bribe.

After staying silent for so many years, Jennifer said she's speaking out now because she's tired of hiding.

"I'm tired of being afraid. I feel like the actions that were taken in regards to this whole situation have put me in a different type of fear at my age now. And it was wrong," she said. "I don't want to be afraid anymore. The only way not to be afraid is to continue to speak up."

In 1995 Mr. Petty was convicted of one count of attempted rape in the first degree, assault in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon. He served nearly four years in prison and was released in 1999. He has been listed as a convicted sex offender who has to register in any jurisdiction or state he lives in under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

When asked if she thought justice was served, she said she never really thought about it because she continues to blame herself for what happened to her.

"I don't think I thought about justice, per se, because I was still blaming myself," she shared. "I thought it was something that I did or didn't do, so I don't think I thought about if I got justice. I just knew he did what he did and he went to jail. I had to leave my family. I have to leave my home. I had to move away. So, I haven't really given it much thought"

Back in March 2020, Jennifer said she received a phone call from the "Seeing Green" raptress, but hasn't spoken to her since.

“She said that she got word that I was willing to help them out in a situation," she shared. “I didn’t understand what she was referring to. She offered to fly me and my family to L.A. I turned it down and I told her, ‘Woman to woman, this really happened.’ And I haven’t spoken to her since.”

According to Jennifer, an unnamed associate tried to bribe her to recant her story, placing $20,000 in her lap. After she refused the money, she said she was told the money would be used to put a hit out on her.

During the interview she was asked about her request to drop the charges against Kenneth during his trial. She said she was being pressured by the family she was living with to drop the charges, however, she never said he didn't rape her.

“I never said it didn’t happen,” she said. “I just said I wanna drop the charges.”

When Kenneth's past was being dug up, Nicki Minaj tried to counter the rumors, claiming Jennifer and Kenneth were in a relationship at the time of the alleged rape. Nicki also said he was only 15 and Jennifer said that wasn't the truth.

“We both were 16, we were never in a relationship,” she said. “You [Nicki] have 150 something million followers. They all believed it. It hurt coming from another woman. Just the girl thing.”

Eventually, Jennifer would like to just live her life without being fearful. She wants The Pettys to know that they're wrong for harassing her and her family and she wants it to stop.

"What they did to me and my family wasn’t okay. It wasn’t right. And it doesn’t matter how much money you have. It doesn’t matter what your status is. You can’t intimidate people to make things go better for you. And that’s what they did. And I want my daughters to know that as they grow, as they experience life, as they come in contact with friends, family, strangers, that they’ll have the strength to know that they have a voice and they should use it. And don’t ever let anybody try to silence them.”

Kenneth Petty's sentencing is scheduled for January 24, 2022, so he'll be home with Nicki and "Papa Bear" for the holidays before facing his fate. Thoughts?
