One of our sources in Charlotte–who happens to be close to Fantasia’s family–just gave us some neighborhood scoop. We’re told that Fantasia and Antwaun Cook have been beefing about the amount of time he spends with his kids. And, since spending time with the kids usually means spending time with his wife as well, Fanny’s not feelin’ it.
The source went on to say that Fantasia is intimidated by the time spent around the wife. Recently, Antwaun made it known that she’s going to have to get over it because he’s not giving up his time with his kids. We’re told she’s pissed and is planning to use her “Color Purple” stint in L.A. (kicking off Feb. 10th) for “space” and exploration. Hmmm….

Jordin Sparks was spotted boyfriendless–without her cutie Steph Jones–on Miami Beach yesterday with some friends.  She drank some yummy cocktails and played in the water.
And this afternoon, she performed two acoustic songs for photographers and tourists on Miami Beach’s boardwalk. Cute.

After a night full of performing for a Rio de Janeiro crowd, Beyonce was spotted on her Brazilian hotel balcony waving at fans early this morning. So she doesn’t wake up in a lacefront and full face of makeup. Shocking. And still looking cute…

There’s drama and chaos in the Usher camp yet again. Mr. Raymond’s mother Jonetta Patton allegedly quit as his manager in the past recent months for the second time.  So his label Jive has been pushing his new Raymond vs. Raymond album back (this latest time to March 30th) because he can’t keep a stable team in place. According to the NY Daily News, it’s all because of Ursh’s new cougar girlfriend Grace Miguel.
Apparently the crooner and his mother — and former manager– Jonetta Patton are officially on the outs and severed their professional ties in late November 2009.
“She walked away from the project because Usher had his girlfriend [and former Def Jam executive] Grace Miguel was all in the mix,” says the source.
“She felt as though if she didn’t end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship,” continues the source.
Usher had apparently declared that he would manage himself, with the help of Miguel, but the label felt that “there was chaos in the camp.”
Can we say De’Ja Vu? Dude has a real need it seems for an older chick to be all up in his bed and biz. Didn’t we already discuss this on “Papers” (“I done damn near lost my mama/I been through so much drama….) Don’t do it Ursh. Reconsider!
